IRPA | Statement on Women in Radiation Protection (WiR) & Call for Action
"During this session, we will present and discuss the Statement for Women in Radiation Protection (Version 1: April 2025), which received approval from the Executive Council on December 31, 2025. This important Statement, developed by the IRPA Task Group on Women in Radiation (TG WiR), emphasizes our shared commitment to advancing gender equity, fostering inclusivity, and highlighting the significant contributions of women within the radiation protection profession.
The webinar will serve as a dynamic platform to review the eight Calls for Action detailed in the Statement and to share insights on key topics such as mentorship, workplace policies, and equitable opportunities. We’ll also explore innovative strategies for collaboration, raising visibility, and engaging the next generation in radiation protection. Most importantly, this gathering will reinforce our collective dedication to diversity, a robust safety culture, and ongoing innovation within our field."
